What does the Bible really say about drinking?

What about believers who say that God doesn’t care if they drink as long as they don’t get drunk?

In Alcohol: Should Christians Drink It?, part one of the Conversations Worth Having series, Pastor Chris Chadwick draws heavily from Scripture and history to answer these questions and more. Chadwick walks readers step-by-step through the terms used for alcohol in the Bible, their historical connotations, and what that means in today's world. It's presented in an easy-to-read dialogue format, just like a conversation. The result is a deeply personal, Bible-focused, and invaluable resource for every Christian on the importance of abstaining from alcohol.

Chris Chadwick and his wife, Debbie, started Canyon Ridge Baptist Church in San Diego, California in 2002. He's been married to his wife, Debbie, since 1994, and they have two wonderful daughters.

When he first started Canyon Ridge—which is located in the largest military city in the world—he was immediately confronted with a lifestyle that was given to alcohol. There were many people, even many Christians, who had never heard there might be a Biblical position for abstinence from alcohol. Over the years, and after nearly two decades of personal and pastoral conversations, he saw the need for helpful resources on the subject and wrote Alcohol: Should Christians Drink It?
